The construction is a multi-color jacquard weave where individual colored threads interlace to build the full pictorial surface. Because the imagery is structural rather than applied, the Medusa face, the putti wings, and each acanthus curl retain their definition through regular use and care. Unlike printed textiles, the woven surface produces a subtle three-dimensional relief that shifts character depending on the viewing angle and available light.

A faint vertical texture runs through the ground fabric, adding visual depth behind the figural elements. Darker green tones dominate the lower portion while lighter shades gradually take over toward the top. As a result, the surface carries a natural gradient achieved entirely through yarn color selection during the weaving process, rather than any dye or finishing treatment.
