This jacquard bird cushion brings together parrots, exotic birds, butterflies, and tropical botanical forms across a dense, dark-ground weave. Every color on the surface is part of the fabric structure itself, not printed or transferred. The composition draws from red, coral, emerald, chartreuse, cobalt, and ivory threads to build feather detail, petal gradients, and botanical depth within the textile.

Craftsmanship and Details

Jacquard weaving constructs the image thread by thread directly into the cloth. This method allows for layered color transitions that printing cannot achieve, as each shade is an actual thread carried through the loom rather than ink applied on top. The tropical subject matter is rendered with botanical precision: each bird and leaf form follows the structure of the weave grid, which gives the surface a slight stylized quality that is native to the technique.

The color palette is not decorative guesswork. Red, coral, emerald, chartreuse, cobalt, and ivory are each assigned to specific warp and weft positions across the loom width, producing gradients that shift gradually across the feather and petal forms. This level of color control is what separates jacquard textile work from printed fabric alternatives. The repeat pattern is large enough that no two cushions cut from the same roll will frame the motif in exactly the same way. Condition and Care

Gentle machine wash on cold setting or dry clean. Do not tumble dry at high heat. Iron on the reverse side only, on a low setting. No bleach or chemical cleaners.
