Pure silk ikat lumbar cushion in sky blue and white, handwoven with a geometric medallion pattern built directly into the fabric through resist-dyeing before weaving. Two mirrored medallion forms hold the center, with horizontal white streaks running across the field on either side. The soft-edged bleed where blue meets white is not a printing artifact; it forms naturally as the bound and dyed silk threads are placed on the loom, so each piece carries a slightly different color boundary. One cushion cover included. Insert not included.

Craftsmanship and Details

Ikat weaving requires the silk yarn to be bound at precise intervals and submerged in dye before the loom is threaded. The dye penetrates only the exposed sections of thread; the bound areas resist color and produce the white geometric zones. Because the thread placement during weaving determines where those dye boundaries fall, no two covers carry an identical distribution of blue and white across the medallion field. The weave is dense and holds a natural sheen from the silk fiber. The horizontal lumbar format keeps the full medallion composition within a single unbroken frame. Cover only. No insert.
